Manage an Opportunity dossier
Keep stages, priorities, tasks, notes, people, and documents together.
Before you start
A Job that has been tracked as an Opportunity.
Step by step
- Open Opportunities and select the record. Check the company, role and ticket identifier to confirm you are editing the correct Opportunity.
- Set its current stage and priority. Stages reflect your real progress; you can capture work late without moving through every earlier stage.
- Set a Next Action and optional due date. Use tasks for additional preparation and notes for relevant context.
- Review linked applications, interviews, contacts and documents in the dossier. Keep important decisions in the record so you can return later.
- When work ends, close the Opportunity and choose the actual outcome.
Expected outcome
The dossier explains the current situation, the history, and what happens next.
Troubleshooting
- Board dragging is optional. Use the stage control in the dossier when dragging is inconvenient or unavailable.
- Closing needs an outcome. Choose the recorded result rather than treating Closed as a generic holding stage.
